Elderly man recovering after attack in restaurant

TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) — Brand new video shows the moment someone followed an elderly man with a walker into a Carl’s Junior near Oracle and Prince and tried to take his backpack.

The video shows the man eventually falling on the floor. This happened July 9 but police are just releasing the video now.

Witnesses nearby helped the elderly man. Police were able to track the suspect down.

Right now, he’s facing an attempted robbery charge. The man in the walker was treated at the scene.
