THURSDAY NIGHT:

Winds: North 5-10 mph
Plan for just a few passing clouds as temperatures ease through the 70s this evening. The lower humidity will stick around, and winds will become very light after sunset. No rain is expected.

OVERNIGHT:
Mainly clear
Lows: 58-65
Winds: North 8-12 mph
Tonight will be the coolest night for most of the area, with calm winds and mainly clear skies. Temperatures will fall into the middle 60s inside the beltway and near the bay, while many suburban and rural areas dip into the upper 50s and lower 60s.

FRIDAY:
Mostly sunny
Highs: 80-85
Winds: East 5-10 mph
Friday remains comfortable and mainly dry, although more mid- and high-level clouds will filter across the region. Afternoon temperatures will reach the lower to middle 80s with an east to southeast breeze at 5 to 10 mph. A stray shower is possible late in the day, primarily west of 1-81, but the D.C. area should stay dry.

SATURDAY:
Partly cloudy
Highs: 82-87
Winds: East 5-10 mph
Saturday will feature a mix of clouds and some sunshine, with temperatures remaining slightly below average in the lower to middle 80s. A few showers may develop at times, especially in the mountains and west of Interstate 81. A stray shower cannot be ruled out farther east, but most locations around Washington should remain dry.

SUNDAY:
Partly sunny, stray shower chance
Highs: 85-90
Winds: South 5-10 mph
The summer pattern will begin making a gradual return Sunday as temperatures and humidity start to climb. Highs will reach the middle 80s to around 90 with partly sunny skies. There is a low chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm, with the better opportunity currently west and southwest of Washington.
