Grains lower, livestock lower

CHICAGO (AP) _ Grain futures were lower Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade. Jul. corn was down 10.75 cents at $4.47 a bushel. Jul. wheat was down 16 cents at $6.10 a bushel. Jul. oats lost 11 cents at $3.61 a bushel. Jul. soybeans was off 11.5 cents at $11.87 a bushel.

Beef was lower and pork was lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Jun. live cattle lost 1.45 cents at $2.49 a pound. Aug. feeder cattle was off 5.15 cents at $3.49 a pound. Jun. hogs was off 0.72 cent at $.96 a pound.

Hayden Panettiere, actress in ‘Heroes’ and ‘Nashville,’ dies at 36

(CNN) — Actress Hayden Panettiere has died, her representative confirmed to CNN. She was 36 years old.“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen,” her father, Skip Panettiere, said in a statement to CNN.The circumstances surrounding her death are unknown. ABC was the first to report the news.Panettiere was known for her role in the late-aughts television series “Heroes,” in which she played self-healing cheerleader Claire Bennet, and “Nashville,” in which she played young country music star Juliette Barnes.She was also featured in 2011’s “Scream 4” as Kirby Reed, returning to the horror franchise years later in the sixth installment, and had notable roles in the films “I Love You Beth Cooper” and “Remember the Titans.”This is a developing story and will be updated.
