Use Your Underdog NBA Promo Tonight

If you are looking to take advantage of player projections on tonight’s slate, identifying the highest scoring totals is a logical starting point. Here are the five players with the highest consensus points over/unders for tonight’s matchups:

  • Cade Cunningham (Detroit Pistons) at Cleveland Cavaliers
  • Line: 27.5 Points
  • Donovan Mitchell (Cleveland Cavaliers) vs. Detroit Pistons
  • Line: 26.5 Points
  • Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves) vs. San Antonio Spurs
  • Line: 26.5 Points
  • Victor Wembanyama (San Antonio Spurs) at Minnesota Timberwolves
  • Line: 27.5 Points
  • James Harden (Cleveland Cavaliers) vs. Detroit Pistons
  • Line: 19.5 Points

Analyzing the projections, Cade Cunningham has a lofty 27.5-point total. It is a well-earned number backed by hard data; Cunningham has averaged an incredible 30 points per game throughout the postseason. Countering him is Cleveland’s Donovan Mitchell at a 26.5-point projection. Mitchell is running hot, scoring 30.6 points per game over his last five contests, though he draws a tough assignment against a stout Pistons defense allowing just 102.2 points per night, making his under a mathematically intriguing option.

In the other marquee matchup, Anthony Edwards (26.5) and Victor Wembanyama (27.5) have intriguing projections. Wembanyama draws a favorable pace against a Timberwolves squad giving up 111.8 points per game, but he will have to contend in the paint with a Minnesota frontcourt anchored by Rudy Gobert. Meanwhile, Edwards will test a physical San Antonio defense that has limited opponents to an impressive 40.9% field goal percentage during these playoffs. When assessing these totals, aligning player form with defensive efficiency metrics is a good recipe for success.

Expanding Your Range: MLB Games + PGA Championship

While tonight’s NBA playoff slate offers prime opportunities, players understand that market diversity is crucial for long-term utility. Your $50 in Underdog bonus entries are not restricted solely to the basketball court. You can also target player projections across the diamond in today’s MLB games. Identifying a pitcher with a high strikeout rate against a swing-heavy lineup, or isolating a golfer with superior strokes gained metrics at the PGA Championship, provides alternative, data-driven avenues to maximize your welcome bonus.

Standard vs. Flex Entries

Once your bonus entries are activated, you must strategically decide how to build your lineups on Underdog. You have two primary options:

  • Standard Entry: This requires a minimum of 2+ picks. A standard entry offers the largest potential payout, but it demands absolute precision—all legs of your entry must hit for you to win.
  • Flex Entry: This option requires a minimum of 3+ picks. While the maximum payout is slightly lower than a standard entry, a flex entry provides a mathematical safety net, allowing you to still capture a portion of your winnings even if one leg is incorrect.

NYPD says dozens rescued from human trafficking during World Cup

▶ Watch Video: Inside look at security preparations for World Cup Forty-three people, including seven minors, were rescued from human traffickers during the World Cup matches in the New York City area, according to the New York City Police Department's Special Victims Unit. The rescue operations were carried out between June 11 and July 19 by specialized NYPD detectives who arrested 89 individuals."The surprise was really the outpouring of support behind the mission and the collaboration with all our partners," said Inspector Gary Marcus, commanding officer of the Special Victims Unit. Those rescued, largely the victims of sex trafficking, are now being supported with an array of social services for the victims, including food, housing and counseling. The 87 operations carried out during the World Cup have generated new leads, officials said, and law enforcement agencies are building more cases based on the investigations already underway."We have ongoing investigations now as a result of these operations," an NYPD official told CBS News.Major sporting events are known to law enforcement as hotbeds of human trafficking.Years in advance, the NYPD devoted significant resources to preparing for the World Cup. Eight matches were played at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium, including the final on Sunday."When we talk about the outreach and the prep we do, a large part of that involved visiting the known sex offenders, particularly the known human traffickers, in our registry," Marcus said. "Whether they're on parole or probation for human trafficking, we visited them to make sure they're compliant with the terms of their release, and secondly, to let them know that the NYPD is watching."The matches were held in multiple cities around the U.S., Mexico and Canada. Preparations to secure those games and prepare for crimes like human trafficking were coordinated between local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.Police departments in many locations that hosted World Cup matches have made arrests and rescues connected to human trafficking, including in Georgia, New England and Missouri. Nationally, there were more than 673 arrests on human-trafficking charges made during the World Cup, and 61 adults and 13 minors rescued, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
