Friday night basketball is finally here, and we have a massive storyline unfolding at TD Garden. As the Boston Celtics prepare to host the Dallas Mavericks this March 6, the buzz around Jayson Tatum’s potential season debut is dominating the conversation. New customers can sign up here with the BetMGM bonus code to claim a $1,500 first bet or $150 bonus.

If you are in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or West Virginia, you can grab a “Bet $10, Get $150” bonus if your wager wins with code TOP150. For everyone else in legal states, the code TOP1500 unlocks a $1,500 First Bet Offer, giving us a nice safety net if our opening play doesn’t go as planned.

With the Celtics defending their home court and the Mavericks trying to salvage a road trip, tonight offers a perfect opportunity to get in on the action. Depending on where you are watching from, you’ll want to use the specific code below to maximize your bankroll.

Here is the breakdown of the current BetMGM promotions for this Friday slate:

BetMGM Bonus Code (MI, NJ, PA, WV) TOP150

BetMGM Bonus Code: Claim $150 Bonus or $1,500 Offer

I always tell bettors to look for value before the game even starts, and these welcome offers are exactly that. If you are located in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or West Virginia, you have access to a straightforward “Bet $10, Get $150” deal. By using code TOP150, you just need to place a $10 wager on any game. If that bet hits, you walk away with $150 in bonuses. It’s a great way to build a bankroll for the weekend.

For my readers in other participating states, the strategy shifts slightly with the $1,500 First Bet Offer using code TOP1500. This is essentially insurance for your first real-money stake. If you back the Celtics to cover and they don’t, BetMGM refunds your stake in bonus bets up to $1,500. This gives us the confidence to take a swing at a bigger play—perhaps an exotic bet or a parlay—knowing that if it misses, we get a second chance to get back in the green.

On top of the welcome offer, keep your eyes peeled for an NBA odds boost token and the Fast Break free-to-play game inside the app. I’m also watching for college basketball and UFC 236 boosts, landing for Saturday, so it’s worth getting set up today.

Take Advantage of BetMGM Bonus Code Tonight

Tonight’s schedule is a handicapper’s dream, featuring a mix of heavy favorites and what looks like a razor-thin contest in Denver. I’ve been crunching the numbers, and here is how the consensus odds are shaping up for the marquee games:

Dallas Mavericks at Boston Celtics

  • Spread: Celtics -15.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline: Celtics -1220 | Mavericks +746
  • Total: 224.5 (O -106 / U -114)

New York Knicks at Denver Nuggets

  • Spread: Knicks -1.5 (-109)
  • Moneyline: Knicks -126 | Nuggets +105
  • Total: 229.5 (O -112 / U -108)

LA Clippers at San Antonio Spurs

  • Spread: Spurs -6.5 (-113)
  • Moneyline: Spurs -273 | Clippers +221
  • Total: 222.5 (O -111 / U -109)

Indiana Pacers at Los Angeles Lakers

  • Spread: Lakers -9.5 (-106)
  • Moneyline: Lakers -448 | Pacers +344
  • Total: 235.5 (O -111 / U -109)

My Read on the Games

The headline is obviously in Boston. The spread is massive at -15.5, but with Jayson Tatum likely making his emotional return from that Achilles injury, the energy at TD Garden is going to be electric.

However, the “game of the night” for pure basketball fans is in Denver. The Nuggets are slight home underdogs against the Knicks, which feels like a value spot. We are watching two offensive engines collide: Nikola Jokić, who is averaging a triple-double (28.6 PPG, 12.6 RPG, 10.4 APG), versus Jalen Brunson (26.5 PPG). I expect this one to be a chess match down the stretch.

If you like points, look at the Lakers vs. Pacers. The total is sitting at a sky-high 235.5. The Pacers are surrendering nearly 120 points per game, and the Lakers have the firepower to exploit that, led by Luka Dončić (32.3 PPG) and LeBron James (21.4 PPG). Even with the Pacers’ struggles, the pace here should be frantic.

Finally, keep an eye on Victor Wembanyama in the Spurs vs. Clippers game. He is putting up video game numbers on defense (3.0 blocks, 11.2 rebounds). Against a Clippers team playing a dense schedule, I like the Spurs to control the paint.

NYPD says dozens rescued from human trafficking during World Cup

▶ Watch Video: Inside look at security preparations for World Cup Forty-three people, including seven minors, were rescued from human traffickers during the World Cup matches in the New York City area, according to the New York City Police Department's Special Victims Unit. The rescue operations were carried out between June 11 and July 19 by specialized NYPD detectives who arrested 89 individuals."The surprise was really the outpouring of support behind the mission and the collaboration with all our partners," said Inspector Gary Marcus, commanding officer of the Special Victims Unit. Those rescued, largely the victims of sex trafficking, are now being supported with an array of social services for the victims, including food, housing and counseling. The 87 operations carried out during the World Cup have generated new leads, officials said, and law enforcement agencies are building more cases based on the investigations already underway."We have ongoing investigations now as a result of these operations," an NYPD official told CBS News.Major sporting events are known to law enforcement as hotbeds of human trafficking.Years in advance, the NYPD devoted significant resources to preparing for the World Cup. Eight matches were played at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium, including the final on Sunday."When we talk about the outreach and the prep we do, a large part of that involved visiting the known sex offenders, particularly the known human traffickers, in our registry," Marcus said. "Whether they're on parole or probation for human trafficking, we visited them to make sure they're compliant with the terms of their release, and secondly, to let them know that the NYPD is watching."The matches were held in multiple cities around the U.S., Mexico and Canada. Preparations to secure those games and prepare for crimes like human trafficking were coordinated between local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.Police departments in many locations that hosted World Cup matches have made arrests and rescues connected to human trafficking, including in Georgia, New England and Missouri. Nationally, there were more than 673 arrests on human-trafficking charges made during the World Cup, and 61 adults and 13 minors rescued, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
