See who voted ‘yes’ and who voted ‘no’ to confirm Blanche for attorney general

(CNN) — The Senate on Saturday narrowly confirmed Todd Blanche to be the next US attorney general, overcoming concerns about his past work as a personal lawyer for former President Donald Trump that helped spur opposition from within the Republican party.

Ultimately the path to confirmation for Blanche, who spent weeks courting GOP senators to vote in his favor, was cleared when Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana said he would support the nomination, despite some concerns over Blanche’s past actions. Republicans could only afford to lose two members of their party on the vote and Sens. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine said earlier they’d vote “no.”

The final tally was 50-49. Here’s how each senator voted:
