Tropical Storm Lala formed Thursday in the Pacific Ocean, and it could bring heavy rain and flooding to the Hawaiian Islands this weekend.A hurricane warning was issued for the Big Island of Hawaii as Lala is forecast to bring rain to the region starting late Friday, the Miami-based National Hurricane Center said.A tropical storm watch was in place for Maui County, including the islands of Maui, Lanai, Molokai and Kahoolawe.As of Thursday evening local time, Lala was located approximately 555 miles south-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii, moving northwest with maximum sustained winds of 60 mph, the hurricane center said. A tropical storm becomes a hurricane when its maximum sustained winds reach 74 mph. The projected movement of Tropical Storm Lala after it formed in the Pacific Ocean.
