Medtronic: Fiscal Q1 Earnings Snapshot
GALWAY, Ireland (AP) — GALWAY, Ireland (AP) — Medtronic PLC (MDT) on Tuesday reported fiscal first-quarter earnings of $1.47 billion.
The Galway, Ireland-based company said it had profit of $1.14 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.45 per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.39 per share.
The medical device company posted revenue of $9.76 billion in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $9.47 billion.
