3 males injured, 1 arrested after Prince George’s Co. shooting

The Metro Transit Police Department said two people under 18, and an 18-year-old, were taken to the hospital following a shooting at the Branch Avenue Station in Maryland.

Police said they responded to reports of a shooting at 5:15 p.m. Four people appear to have exited the station together ahead of the shooting.

The department also said that the group got into an altercation that led to gunfire. One juvenile male had life-threatening injuries. The department did not confirm his current status.

The department confirmed that four guns were recovered at the scene and that another juvenile, uninjured, is in custody.

The bus loop is closed as the investigation is ongoing. Metro expects no impact to rail service at this time.
