Frederick Co. school bus crash sends 4 to hospital

WASHINGTON — Four people were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a crash involving a school bus in Frederick County, Maryland.

Frederick County Public Schools spokesman Michael Doerrer said one of the buses turning in to Walkersville High School from Maryland Route 194 was hit by a vehicle driving in the opposite direction shortly after 7 a.m.

Two students, a bus assistant and the driver were on the bus. The students and the driver — and the driver of the other vehicle — were all taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The county sheriff’s office is investigating the incident.
