Believe it or not — the Washington Nationals are World Series Champions!
Here’s a quick recap
The Houston Astros’ home field advantage evaporated when the Nationals won both Games 1 and 2 on the road, putting them two wins away from glory.
But things then took a turn at Game 3, when the Astros showed up in D.C. and beat the Nats 4-1 Friday night, 8-1 Saturday night and 7-1 Sunday night.
The Nats stayed in the fight and battled back to beat the Astros 7-2 in a fiery Game 6 on Tuesday night. Game 6 was one of the most dramatic of the postseason — with a controversial call on Trea Turner at first base that ultimately enraged manager Dave Martinez enough to get himself ejected.
And on Wednesday night, they completed their comeback journey. Howie Kendrick and Anthony Rendon homered in the seventh inning as the Nationals overcame a two-run deficit, rocking the Houston Astros 6-2 to win the first title in franchise history.
How do we celebrate?
A parade is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m.
The parade will start on Constitution Avenue NW at 15th Street NW, proceed east along Constitution Avenue NW and end on Pennsylvania Avenue NW at 3rd Street NW with a team rally.

Are those lucky navy blue jerseys available yet?
Kinda.
There are a “limited supply” of the hard-to-find jerseys at the team store, said Nats spokesman Christopher Browne. The alternate uniform became a hot item when it proved to be a good-luck charm in the postseason.
But don’t expect to see more in the store anytime soon.
“Majestic stopped production of them since they are no longer the jersey provider for MLB after this season,” he wrote in an email.
Oh well. Just wait ’til next year.
What about championship gear if they win?
DICK’s Sporting Goods said that if the Nationals win, selected stores — in East Market in Fairfax, Bailey’s Crossroads, Dulles Town Center, Springfield Town Center and Washingtonian Center in Gaithersburg — will reopen immediately after the game, and all DICK’s stores will open at 7 a.m. Thursday to sell World Championship gear.
