Man dead after being struck by car in Fairfax Co.

A man is dead after being struck by a car in Fairfax County, Virginia, early Friday morning.

Police said the incident happened on North Kings Highway in Huntington. Officers got the call around 12:30 a.m.

The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene until police came. He was arrested shortly afterwards.

Authorities are still investigating what may have caused the crash.

Northbound lanes on North Kings Highway were closed for more than six hours as officers investigated the scene.

All lanes reopened before 6:30 a.m.

Argan: Fiscal Q2 Earnings Snapshot

ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — Argan Inc. (AGX) on Wednesday reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $53.3 million. The Arlington, Virginia-based company said it had net income of $3.76 per share. The builder of energy plants posted revenue of $384 million in the period. Argan shares have climbed 31% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $409.83, a rise of 83% in the last 12 months.
