MARC says most train users can now use credit cards to pay fares, after a technical issue caused problems for its ticket-vending machines.
Many other vendors along the East Coast were impacted by the glitch, which persisted for days.
In a statement Monday afternoon, MARC said that the issue with credit card processing had been resolved.
“All machines are working, with the exception of Martinsburg, and accepting credit cards,” they said in a brief statement. “We regret any inconvenience this problem caused and thank you for riding MARC Train.”
MARC first alerted riders on Friday that its ticket vending machines were not accepting credit cards “due to a nation-wide credit card processing systems issue.”
