The Reynoldsburg, Ohio-based company said it had net income of $2.18 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 95 cents per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 78 cents per share.

The retailer of lingerie, pajamas and beauty products posted revenue of $1.61 billion in the period.

Victoria’s Secret expects full-year earnings in the range of $4.45 to $4.70 per share.
