The maker of customer engagement software posted revenue of $22.2 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $21.8 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $8.9 million, or 32 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $91.1 million.
For the current quarter ending in September, eGain expects its per-share earnings to range from 5 cents to 8 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $20.9 million to $21.4 million for the fiscal first quarter.
EGain expects full-year earnings in the range of 4 cents to 7 cents per share, with revenue ranging from $84.5 million to $86 million.
