Viral culinary sensation Flavor Hive opens first DC location

A popular D.C.-area restaurant franchise has now opened its newest location in the District.
In Tuesday’s episode of “Matt About Town,” WTOP’s Matt Kaufax visited Flavor Hive’s newest brick-and-mortar spot on M Street in Georgetown.
On the surface, Flavor Hive is a story about a successful local franchise that began as a food truck in Alexandria, Virginia. Thanks to genius internet marketing, viral social moments, good food and great customer service, Flavor Hive built a community of loyal fans.
Georgetown, Flavor Hive’s first physical location in D.C., is its seventh overall in the D.C. area.
If you look beyond the headlines, though, Flavor Hive’s story is really a tale of the American Dream.
