A juvenile was killed in a two-car crash that kept a portion of the Suitland Parkway near the D.C.-Maryland state line closed for several hours early Sunday morning, according to local officials.
U.S. Park Police said the crash happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Outside of the juvenile who died, six other people suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash.
The crash shut down the parkway in both directions until around 7:45 a.m.
WTOP Traffic reported the Suitland Parkway was closed between Naylor Road and Stanton Road for over 5 hours Sunday morning.

During that time, U.S. Park Police said eastbound traffic was diverted to Alabama Avenue. Westbound traffic was diverted to Naylor Road.
