Grains mostly lower, livestock mixed

CHICAGO (AP) _ Grain futures were mostly lower in early trading Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade. Jul. corn fell by 0.25 cent at $4.77 a bushel. Jul. wheat rose by 1.5 cents at $6.66 a bushel. Jul. oats lost 0.5 cent at $3.73 a bushel. Jul. soybeans was unchanged at $12.13 a bushel.

Beef was lower and pork was higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Jun. live cattle was off 0.1 cent at $2.53 a pound. May. feeder cattle lost 0.43 cent at $3.68 a pound. Jun. hogs gained 0.17 cent at $.99 a pound.

Russell aims to trim Antonelli’s F1 lead at Italian GP, but starts behind surprise polesitter Gasly

MONZA, Italy (AP) — George Russell will be looking to make up some ground on Kimi Antonelli in the Formula 1 title race, with his Mercedes teammate starting from the back of the grid at the Italian Grand Prix. But he will start second, behind surprise polesitter Pierre Gasly, who stunned everyone by snatching top spot for the first time in qualifying on Saturday. Russell will also have both Ferrari cars breathing down his neck as Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton fill out the second row in the scuderia’s home race, where they will be cheered on by the hordes of passionate, red-clad tifosi. Russell is second in the overall standings, level with Hamilton and 59 points behind Antonelli, who is bidding to become F1’s youngest champion.
