WATERTOWN, Mass. (AP) — WATERTOWN, Mass. (AP) — EyePoint, Inc. (EYPT) on Wednesday reported a loss of $84.8 million in its first quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Watertown, Massachusetts-based company said it had a loss of 99 cents.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 79 cents per share.

The drug delivery technology company posted revenue of $696,000 in the period.
