The Tokyo-based company said it had earnings of 16 cents per share.

The financial services company posted revenue of $7.73 billion in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $7.73 billion, topping Street forecasts.

For the year, the company reported profit of $2.41 billion, or 79 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $31.61 billion.
