Brinker International: Fiscal Q3 Earnings Snapshot

DALLAS (AP) — DALLAS (AP) — Brinker International Inc. (EAT) on Wednesday reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $127.9 million.

The Dallas-based company said it had profit of $2.87 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were $2.90 per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 10 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.85 per share.

The operator of restaurant chains Chili’s Grill & Bar and Maggiano’s Little Italy posted revenue of $1.47 billion in the period, missing Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.48 billion.

Brinker International expects full-year earnings in the range of $10.60 to $10.85 per share, with revenue in the range of $5.78 billion to $5.82 billion.
