Park Hotels & Resorts: Q4 Earnings Snapshot

TYSONS, Va. (AP) — TYSONS, Va. (AP) — Park Hotels & Resorts Inc. (PK) on Thursday reported a key measure of profitability in its fourth quarter. The results surpassed Wall Street expectations.

The real estate investment trust, based in Tysons, Virginia, said it had funds from operations of $103 million, or 51 cents per share, in the period.

The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for funds from operations of 48 cents per share.

Funds from operations is a closely watched measure in the REIT industry. It takes net income and adds back items such as depreciation and amortization.

The company said it had a loss of $205 million, or $1.04 per share.

Park Hotels & Resorts, based in Tysons, Virginia, posted revenue of $629 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $620.4 million.

For the year, the company reported funds from operations of $394 million. Revenue was reported as $2.54 billion.

Park Hotels & Resorts expects full-year funds from operations in the range of $1.73 to $1.89 per share.
