Alamos Gold: Q4 Earnings Snapshot

TORONTO (AP) — TORONTO (AP) — Alamos Gold Inc. (AGI) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $434.9 million.

On a per-share basis, the Toronto-based company said it had net income of $1.03. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 54 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 49 cents per share.

The gold mining company posted revenue of $575.3 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $885.8 million, or $2.10 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.81 billion.

Alamos Gold shares have risen 13% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $43.74, a rise of 93% in the last 12 months.
