WATCH LIVE: President Trump gives update on the US operation in Venezuela

President Donald Trump held a news conference Saturday to address the U.S. military operation that led to the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.

Trump confirmed in a Truth Social post that the U.S. had “successfully carried out a large scale strike against Venezuela” overnight Saturday. He detailed at the time that Maduro and his wife were “captured and flown out of the country.”

Trump gave his address from Mar-a-Lago.
