JERICHO, N.Y. (AP) — JERICHO, N.Y. (AP) — 1-800-Flowers.com Inc. (FLWS) on Thursday reported a loss of $100.1 million in its fiscal third quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Jericho, New York-based company said it had a loss of $1.56. Losses, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 77 cents per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 75 cents per share.

The flower and gift retailer posted revenue of $293 million in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $292.4 million.
